Océane Blavot
Océane joined Eurodad in January 2021 as Senior Campaign and Outreach Coordinator – Development Finance. She leads Eurodad’s global campaign on Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs). She has been working on PPPs in Official Development Assistance (ODA) since 2015, through her Masters dissertation on “Public-Private Partnerships Renewal in International Development Practice”. This work led to the publication of an article in the Humanitarian Affairs think tank of the French Institute for International and Strategic Affairs – IRIS, “What donor strategy lies beneath the renewal of cooperation with the private sector?”. Before joining Eurodad, she worked on privatisation of public services and human rights, primarily in the education sector, as an Advocacy and Research Officer at the Global Initiative for Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (GI-ESCR). She was based in Nairobi, Kenya with GI-ESCR for a year and half, and then in Dakar, Senegal for three years. She holds an International Program Supervisor Master’s degree from IRIS Sup’ and a Globalisation: History, Politics, Culture Bachelor’s degree from the University of Brighton. Her mother tongue is French and she speaks fluent English.
