Much of the discourse around climate change and global warming is shaped by countries of the Global North, even though the populations that are most affected by the impact of climate change live in countries of the Global South. What does that tell us about the environmental movement, and, ultimately, its effectiveness? It is all the more baffling when you consider that Africa has one of the smallest environmental footprints, the youngest population in the world, and boasts resources - both natural and material - that make it a place of innovation, collaboration and advancement. For answers to these questions, make sure to listen to our round table discussion with some of the world's leading experts on these issues.
Participants:
Dorrie Wilson (moderator, curator), Alast Mojtahed Najafi (speaker), Leia Achampong (panelist), Elizabeth Wathuti (panelist).
