The inaugural IAFFE online session on methodologies of feminist economics will convene experts to discuss how to effectively include gendered perspectives in data collection and data analysis. Researchers and advocates often face limitations in analyzing gender relations and gendered economic outcomes through the available macro- and micro-level quantitative data from governments, NGOs, and private sources. Here, panelists will discuss various methods and methodologies, at the macro and the micro level, for collection of better, meaningful and contextual data that enables both research and advocacy.

Speakers:

  • Mayra Buvinic: Senior Fellow Emeritus at the Center for Global Development and Senior Fellow at Data2X
