We hope everyone is keeping safe and well.
We are writing to share an invite to our next large call with civil society and youth groups which will focus on our COP26 covid-secure summit planning and to share information on the recent IPCC report.
Invite - call on COP26 Covid Operations
We understand that covid logistics for COP26 is a priority for you and your preparations for engaging in COP26. This is why we said at our last call we will have a dedicated session for you to hear the latest updates and to ask any questions you may have on our covid planning assumptions. We will run two sessions to accommodate different time zones:

Publication of the IPCC report on Monday 9th August
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Working Group report 1 was published on Monday 9 August. Press release is here.
The UK COP Presidency hosted an event with Patrick Vallance and climate scientists. The expert panel discussed how we can keep 1.5 alive and participated in a Q&A session with the media to draw attention to the latest climate science, and demonstrate the urgency with which we all need to act.
