In 2021, sovereign debt insolvency proceedings were even included in the coalition agreement, yet nothing has happened. The FDP had pledged to hold private creditors more accountable. In an open letter to Christian Lindner, Erlassjahr called on the former Finance Minister to take action. Even before his resignation, Christian Lindner responded to their demands and presented some interesting arguments against their proposals.
