Dear colleagues,

The Global Alliance for Tax Justice (GATJ) invites civil society organisations around the world to submit proposals to host a side event in our Tax Justice and Gender Equality Conference, which will take place from 6 to 8 December, under the theme “Feminist Perspectives and Imagining a New Taxation System”.

Submit your proposal to host a session until 14 November 2021!

The side events will:
 Create spaces to share, discuss and develop alternative perspectives to establish a sustainable feminist taxation and economic system for the realisation of substantive gender equality and women’s rights.
 Provide analysis of the impact of the Covid-triggered socio-economic crises on the most marginalised from an intersecting position and alternative feminist narratives.
 Be a safe space where women's rights organisations and the tax justice movement connect, engage, learn and build alliances to advance both agendas together.
 Be an opportunity to promote your organisation’s work.

You are encouraged to have creative sessions, including workshops. The sessions will be split across four different themes:
(1) Policy analysis and consolidation
(2) Learning workshops
(3) Networking and connecting
(4) Visioning a Feminist Taxation System

Session organisers will be required to identify their session speakers, moderators and or facilitators, and are encouraged to cover costs of interpretation where possible. A recording of your event will be shared after the conference.

The conference sessions are scheduled on the GMT +3 time zone. When you apply, you will be able to choose your preferred date and time slot during the conference.
