Join the campaign "Cancel the debt for climate justice"
The first day of the New Global Financial Pact Summit marks 160 days until the start of COP28 in Dubai. Despite debt and climate being inextricably linked, debt cancellation is not on the agenda of the Paris Summit. Join our movement if you believe that global south debts must be cancelled to allow their governments to tackle the climate crisis, address inequalities and invest in their peoples’ wellbeing.

On 22 June we have launched the new campaign "Cancel the debt for climate justice" running until 12 December 2023.
In case you would like to join the campaign, there are some actions you can take:
- Sign the statement calling for debt cancellation for climate justice by the COP in November/December 2023
- Take action on social media - we have prepared a toolkit with some tweet suggestions and visuals, but feel free to be creative and post anything related to our message about #CanceltheDebt #ClimateDebtJustice
