IPES-Food's new Debt Report on Unsustainable Food Systems
The new special report by IPES-Food titled "Breaking the Cycle of Unsustainable Food Systems, Hunger and Debt" is out.
The report argues that the world is alarmingly entering a new phase of rising hunger and debt distress. The food price crisis is entering a dangerous new phase – a debt crisis that is plunging millions more into hunger. That our unsustainable, import-heavy food systems are a critical factor behind rising debt and rising hunger in the Global South today. And it calls for food systems transformation and debt cancellation to be comprehensively addressed together.
