This briefing paper draws from the findings of an in-depth policy review and field work commissioned by ActionAid’s Young Urban Women’s Programme to explore the ways that IMF-sponsored macro-economic policies have affected the provision of essential public services, with a special focus on Ghana’s health, water and sanitation sectors.
